Our industry is challenging and MEC employees are committed to meeting the challenges. MEC rewards this hard work with compensation that is better than the local market average and an exceptional benefits package that promotes wellness and provides a solid financial future.
Employees have two medical plan options, the Traditional Plan or the Health Savings Plan. Both plans offer the same comprehensive medical coverage, choice of in-network health care providers and free preventative care. The difference is how you pay for your coverage, premiums and deductibles – and the option to save for future medical expenses offered through the Health Savings Plan. All employees have the option to decline the health insurance coverage.
The dental plan provides for 100% coverage for routine dental exams, up to 2 visits per calendar year with no deductible.
All MEC employees enrolled in one of the health insurance plans will automatically be covered under the routine vision plan at no additional cost.
Depending on the health insurance plan chosen, there are options to help you pay for health and dependent day care expenses.
An independent, third-party, FREE service to help employees manage and navigate the health care system. Services include finding a doctor and assistance with resolving billing and claims issues.
A no cost, 24 hours a day, seven days a week health information service. Registered nurses will help with general health information and self-care tips.
Free and confidential support for everyday challenges or more serious problems. Assistance is available for depression, substance abuse and problems or conflicts arising from child and elder care, to name a few.
A free program offered, providing assistance to identify special needs or risks during a pregnancy.
Plans include, basic life and accidental death insurance; an optional supplemental life insurance plan; optional supplemental accidental death and dismemberment insurance; short-term disability plan; long-term disability and optional supplemental income protection plan.
The 401(K) plan is a long-term savings program with attractive tax advantages. MEC matches contributions dollar-for-dollar up to six percent of eligible weekly contributions, with an annual discretionary corporate contribution of up to 4 percent of base pay, depending on company performance.
