The Draper TRAX Line is a 3.8 mile (Double Track) light rail extension of the UTA Sandy-Salt Lake Line from its terminus at 10000 South in Sandy to Pioneer Road in Draper. Being built within the UTA-owned rail corridor, the Draper TRAX extension features 3 new passenger stations.

West Greenwich 2.1MW Solar Project

West Greenwich, R.I.

Mass. Electric Construction Co. (MEC) began work on a 2.1MW solar project in West Greenwich, Rhode Island in April 2013. This was the first solar project installation completed by MEC during the winter, and snow and ice were a major concern when it came to safety. Weather also played a major factor in how much trench could be open at one time, because snow could melt in the trench and freeze any installed conduit. Correct ordering of materials and scheduling crews were instrumental in the completion of this project on time.

This project involves the rehabilitation of the District of Columbia’s oldest transit corridor using multiple procurement methods. This best value fixed price project includes design-build bid items, bid-build bid items, and the remainder is JOC (Job Order Contracting) work. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Redline Project covers 6-miles of 3rd rail powered double track in a tunnel and on elevated guide-way.
