Iatan Coal-Fired Power Plant - Weston, Mo.
MEC managed crews on electrical installations at the Iatan Coal-Fired Power Plant. Crews constructed and installed the Air Quality Control System (back-end or AQCS) for the existing 651 MW Unit I plant, and worked on the construction of major components for a new, 850 MW Unit II, including the Steam Turbine, Boiler, AQCS, and balance of plant (BOP) electrical work.

To complete this project in the time scheduled, many challenges were overcome. The main challenge that MEC successfully overcame was the installation of cables in a multi-tiered complex cable tray system, which was located within many areas of limited, difficult access.
