Fairview Energy Center - Switchyard

As part of EPC delivery of a new 500kV, four-breaker radial bus switchyard, MEC managed design and construction of a new Vinco 500kV transmitting switchyard — including a three-breaker ring bus — and a 500kV collector switchyard, which included three generator step-up (GSU) connections.

Major construction scopes included:

• Above- and below-grade grounding
• Bus and jumpers
• Conduit and trenching
• Control cable installation and termination
• High-voltage equipment installation
• Overhead line including transmitting yard to plant tie-in
