North City Water Reclamation Plant

MEC is performing the major electrical and instrumentation scopes of work on this expansion project, which will increase the plant’s treatment capacity from 30 to 52 million gallons per day (MGD). Process modifications and updates include:
- New primary clarifiers
- New chemically enhanced primary treatment
- Aeration basin expansion
- New tertiary filter and equalization basin
Work also includes construction of an influent pump station and a wastewater pipeline to convey up to 42 MGD of recycled water produced at the plant across the street to a pure water facility.
