Rodeo Renewable Fuels Facility - IOS

To meet the growing demand for renewable fuels, this project is converting a refinery into one of the world’s largest renewable fuels plants, producing 800 million gallons per year of renewable diesel, gasoline and sustainable aviation fuel, while also reducing the plant’s greenhouse gas emissions by 50% to meet local regulations.
As part of the IOS scope, MEC is responsible for installing new systems and equipment and tying in with existing infrastructure. Major scope components include:
- Underground electrical distribution
- Power transformers and panels
- Grounding of power and equipment
- Electrical and instrumentation including lighting, conduit and cables
- Dress-out of equipment
- Heat tracing including control panels
- Air-blown fiber optic tubes
- Analyzer sample and return systems
