ST. JOSEPH'S ABBEY 20.3-MW SOLAR PROJECT

This 20.3-MW solar farm on rolling terrain encompasses 10 areas spread across 200 acres of the historic St. Joseph’s Abbey. With a 14.7-MW AC capacity, it was one of the largest ground-mounted solar systems in Massachusetts when built, and one of the client’s largest community solar project in the United States. Using local union labor, MEC crews installed:
- 61,870 325- and 330-watt panels
- Power electronics/freesun inverters
- A TF2 fixed-tilt ground-mounted racking system
- 8,516 ground screws
